Competitive Team

Train and compete at a national level

Members of the Competitive Team come from high school and college programs while others learned to row here at LPBC. We race in every competitive category and are top-performers at the sport’s premier events such as USRowing Nationals, Masters Nationals and Head of the Charles.

Through training and with great coaching, we are consistently one of the fastest Masters Rowing Teams in the country, the fastest co-ed adult team in the Midwest, and one of the top teams overall in the nation. We also offer a High Performance Group for those in pursuit of national and international opportunities.

While primarily a sweep team, our members also compete and train in many sculling events. There are several opportunities to learn to scull, as well as compete in numerous small boats throughout the year. In addition to Competitive Team Practices, athletes join Competitive Sculling practices on the River at Lathrop and independently via Fob Access at the Lincoln Park Boat House.

Prospective team members are welcome (and encouraged) to join us for a few practices before becoming a member allowing you to meet the team, coach, and understand our training. Please don’t hesitate to contact our coaches to schedule a time to come by.

Senior Masters

The Senior Masters Team is for competitive scullers and sweep rowers who compete in the USRowing Masters C category or higher. Senior Masters Athletes train within the Competitive Team. Competitive Athletes of all ages compete together at Local Regattas, USRowing Masters Nationals, and Head of the Charles.
